Modern ME

is an indie rock project of San Diego-based musicians Adam Lamah (vocals), Phoenyx Jones (drums), Adam O’Nan (bass), Michael Paez (guitar), and Shawn Kreitz (guitar). Borne out of a childhood friendship between Lamah and Paez, the group grew out of the local music scene and a love for the alt rock of the early 2000s. Modern Me convened in 2015 with producer Adam Castilla of indie-pop band The Colourist to translate their influences, into a more modern canon. A year after the release of their breakthrough single “Waters,” which received heavy airplay on San Diego’s 91X FM, Modern Me debut a more developed sound in 2018 channeling the bombast of The Killers, the cunning of Young The Giant, and the whimsy of Joywave.
